Meet DR. ANNETTE ATHY.
I’m a grief specialist & child development expert. I’ve been working with children & families for over 20 years in a variety of settings.
My journey started with extensive schooling & training in social work and counseling. I earned my doctorate in counseling and previous certifications in parent-child, play, grief, & trauma.
But my most meaningful title is mother to my 4 kids, and that’s why I am so passionate about supporting parents of children who are in the midst of a grief storm.
BUT no number of certifications and degrees could've prepared me for the on-the-job training I would need as a parent! Our family has experienced a variety of losses and what I am teaching you is the combination of my formal education & my real-world parent knowledge!

Over twenty-five years ago, my family unexpectedly lost a family member and once she passed away, she was rarely spoken of again. I don't want any child to go through what her children experienced.
I don’t just want to get you through this one crisis. My work empowers parents to be more confident, effective parents for the rest of their lives. This happens when you can become what I call a “safety anchor” in your family, allowing you to guide your children as they pop in and out of good times and bad. When you step into this level of parenting, it improves your family forever.
